Description

An original 1st Uk mono press of BB and highly desirable. Matrix 4/2. Stampers 1B/1U .under the Buckingham sequence about as early as you cann go...if you purchase this item you will be in possession of one of the 1st ever copies of BBQ to enter the market place.  The heavy-set vinyl comes housed in an original mono gatefold cover. Original Decca inner sleeve dated late summer 1968 exactly as you would hope to find on one of the earliest copies.. 100% complete and 100% genuine.
Vinyl (Ex) In lovely condition and has only seen relatively light use. Labels imply relatively little use. Under close inspection there are a good few slight marks per side - nothing troublesome though. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals an. at least, Excellent level of playback. A super player and plays clean with minimal sign of use...Jesus wept...the audio on here is just amazing. Much much better preserved than the average copy that surfaces. Even those classic acoustic tracks play superb - clean. And a mono BBQ playing like this is pretty amazing sounding. A couple of crackles as SYMPATHY starts and then nada! It rolls in clean as a whistle...lots of atmosphere...nothing to irritate or interfere. Factory Girl - flippin' amazing...this fussy track plays clean and absolutely superb. From an audio perspective this copy is the ONE to for best audio. You just need to compromise a bit on the cover. For audio - out of this flippin' world.
Cover (Vg/Vg-) Ok - this is where the compromise needs to be made. Everyone wants a clean cover and they are hard to find. This one is a little sub-par having aged a bit and noticeably there is foxing on the front particularly along the opening edge.  SO PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU CAN DEAL WITH THIS. To be honest the photos make it look worse yhan it actually is. But at least the buyer has the ability to properly view the issue. I do not like sellers who hide stuff out of view (super annoying). Otherwise it is a cracking cover...Only slight edge wear. Spine is 80% intact [unusual].. Interior superb. Text fully legible. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity.
