Forty years ago, in 1985, the Rolling Stones were ready to split up.

Mick Jagger was making his first solo lp and Keith Richards was not thrilled.

But the 1985 studio sessions for their new lp 'Dirty Work' present the band in top form with stunning music and inexhaustible ideas.

This lp box set contains a host of outtakes and alternative versions of the studio work for the first time on everlasting vinyl.

"Dirty Work Blues - The Outtakes" thoroughly explores the recording sessions of "Dirty Work" (March 1986), the Rolling Stones' eighteenth studio album, which they recorded the previous year at the Pathé Marconi Studios in Boulogne Billancourt near Paris (January 15 – February 28, April 5 – June 17) and at RPM in New York (July 16 / August 17 / September 10 – October 15).

The sessions featured notable guests including Jimmy Page (lead guitar on "One Hit (To The Body)"), Bobby Womack, and Ivan Neville, as well as dedicated members Chuck Leavell and Ian Stewart, and backing vocals contributions from Jimmy Cliff, Don Covay, Beverly D'Angelo, Kirsty MacColl, Dolette McDonald, Janice Pendarvis, Patti Scialfa, and Tom Waits. The box set includes many outtakes and alternate takes, available on vinyl for the first time.
