Description
This is an auction for a 1967 mono press of the Stones psyche LP, TSMR
This was rescued from my uncle’s collection - he was going to transfer it from his shed - where it’s sat for 40 years - to his skip!
Amazingly after a clean up it actually plays quite well. There are some surface marks and occasional crackle on dead wax between tracks but the important thing is I didn’t detect a jump/skip.
Stamped matrices are ZAL-6126-T2-4K and ZAL-6127-T2-7K
I played it on two separate turntables - a low end unforgiving Sony and a kinder Audio Technica. Occasional dead wax crackle but no major playback issues.
Sleeve has a vague woody odour but is in pretty decent shape. Starting to show wear. It’s the hologram cover with original red “wispy” inner. Inner displays all the age of a 54 year old item.
Overall a solid, playable copy of this LP. Given it’s 40 year residence in a shed it’s probably not for the fussier vinyl collector, but fine if you want a copy to listen to rather than look at.
