The Rolling Stones
Sticky Fingers
COC 59100 A4/B3 matrices. Rolling Stones Records hand etched in run offs.
Vinyl appears lightly played !! . Mirror like surfaces ! Decent aural delivery and a very collectable piece of plastic! One of the better examples of this historic Stones release, with a decent album sleeve ! INSERT included /RED TONGUE with Andy Warhol original album cover. TRULY collectable exhibit !!! One for the vinyl enthusiast!!
Famous zip cover sleeve. !Top of belt lightly creased . Fully operational, working zip. EX - condition. Light wear on top spinal edge. Light scuffing alongside zipper, if angled 45 degrees, where other album zips caused indentations during transit, hence the exit of this sexy sleeve..soon had to be deleted owing to massive damage that the zip caused to other album covers-not very practical at all.. but very tasteful and highly collectable. Not much creasing on outer front/reverse face. No rips, nor tears. Metallic zip has NOT tarnished and is in fine working order, with NO rusting at all and is a prime example of this historic album release.
Probably the sexiest album sleeve ever produced apart from Hendrix’ Electric Ladyland. The pun on sticky fingers was considered outrageous and caused much outcry when released. The crotch photograph on front face was shocking in that era of production but caused a huge increase in the records sales world wide and is probably one of the Stones greatest selling discs. The media are still trying to find out whose crotch it was..still debatable to this day…. The entire album was permeated by images of sex and death, yet the tone of the work was neither self-indulgent nor maudlin. The group's playful fascination with sex was further demonstrated on the elaborately designed Andy Warhol sleeve which featured a waist-view shot of a figure clad in denim, with a real zip fastener which opened to display the lips and tongue motif that was shortly to become their corporate image. Very historic album release and very significant to the Rolling Stones’ image and group development.
RED, Tongue insert/photo of group in excellent condition.
Vinyl surfaces are quite stunning, when examined under ordinary light. Mirror like sheen, excellent glaze. After scrutinising closely in daylight, I could pick up NO surface marks on S1 and on S2 ,one surface mark approx. 1cm in length, located track 4,caused by zipper no doubt. Have to look hard to locate but I was unable to observe any other blemishes at all.. Possibly against a halogen, some other very light surface hairlines/marks may be visible .Beautiful visual and almost impossible to find in this condition .

Have heard many and some of these vinyls are so disappointing but not this one. Very close to excellent aural delivery . There are many soft and silent passages of music throughout this LP and the music is delivered in sensational style. Sister Morphine is beautifully delivered and is absolutely captivating, marking one of Jagger’s best vocal performances . No significant audible scratches detected. Just some static occasionally and will improve with play as there is still dust, lifting from the grooves. At least a very good+/excellent- delivery and considerably better in some parts. Just occasional static/surface between tracks, during the quieter parts of the music, with no serious problems at all.

Appear stunning with no damage at all visible. Have a soft textured appearance and in beautiful format .Detected a light spindle trace. Must have been very carefully handled and hardly played. Fantastic and hard to believe but possibly, must be one of the very best examples in existence today of the Stones, dimple effect labels.
A remarkable example of this sensational Stones album. Low start, and no reserve.
