I'm Back! Last year I started this little hobby, then mid-year I encountered a set-back...an aortic aneurysm resulting in open heart surgery and a new aortic valve as well as a new section of aorta. My apologies to the small group of trusted and trusting buyers that I had developed. This was a life changing experience and getting back into this, which I just do for fun, was difficult.
I am a novice collector of records, and have bought some collections that resulted in multiples or genres that I am not collecting. My goal is to develop a reputation as a conservative and fair grader of albums (Goldmine standards) and a dependable seller of LP's. As a buyer of numerous LP's on e-Bay, I have found that many sellers do not take the grading process seriously (in fact, some are downright dishonest). I can assure you that I do take it seriously. I am not in this for the money...in fact, I am spending a lot more than I am taking in. If you are a lover of vinyl, I can speak your language. Let me know, in fact, if there is something you are looking for. I will likely get tired of doing this before I sell the several hundred that I plan to sell, and begin moving them in lots. This LP came from a lot of 1200 that I bought from a former record store owner (now a year ago!). He owned the store in the late 70's, and as a result, I have numerous albums from that period, including a number of promos and still sealed issues.
That guy was a serious Jimmy Smith fan, and I am keeping most of his many Jmmy Smith LPs. However, I had two copies of this one...both sealed!
There is a small corner cut, as you can see in the photo...otherwise you are getting a beautiful mint record that is just as it was in the stores in 1972!
An opened one just sold for $102.50 last week. I have not seen a sealed copy of this LP since I started collecting. Good Luck!
