redgarnett Store ITEM DESCRIPTION:
This beautiful and rare LP from Vox (PL 10.750, English pressing, black/silver label, mono, laminated flipback jacket) features Hans Rosbaud and the Südwestfunkorchester (Symphony Orchestra of the Southwest German Radio), Baden-Baden, in a magisterial rendition of Bruckner’s Symphony No. 7 in E Major (1885, Original Version, Ed. Robert Hass, 1944).
This performance, rugged and unflinching, yet not without a deep spiritual ardor, was made at Loffenau, Germany, on 27 December 1957 and remains a true landmark in the Bruckner discography.
Incidentally, there are fine liner notes on the reverse side of the jacket by Walter Panofsky, printed in English only. The striking cover photo is uncredited, alas.
CONDITION:
The gradations of condition I use are as follows: MINT, Near-Mint, Excellent, Very Good, Good, Fair, Poor.
The condition of the jacket is EXCELLENT. There is minor bumping at corners, as well as light shelfwear, but that is all. There are no seamsplits, bends, or owners' markings and the jacket remains solid, bright, and highly attractive – overall, an excellent collector's copy.
The condition of the LP is VERY GOOD+. Though there is light surface noise throughout, in general the playback remains quite fine. However, those wanting a flawless or near-MINT copy are kindly advised to look elsewhere. Overall, this rates as an excellent collector's copy.

This LP has been carefully cleaned using a VPI cleaning machine. All LPs are provided with a new Nagaoka (or Nagaoka-style) inner sleeve.
