A scarce depression-era 78rpm Rudy Vallee release on blue wax Columbia 2738-D .. "Linger A Little Longer In The Twilight" / "A Jug Of Wine, A Loaf of Bread And Thou" … Vallee's band was at its peak (in my opinion) when he made these Columbias and early Bluebirds… Having always only listened to "Linger A Little Longer…", I just recently played "A Jug Of Wine…" … and this, surprisingly, is a very nice tune that suffers from terrible lyrics (again my opinion).
