Description
???????????? ????????? ??? Rare and interesting vinyl for collectors and enthusiasts ???
? - Description: Still Sealed copy of Rush's 1981 definitive masterpiece - Moving Pictures. You don't find this around sealed. Who wouldn't have opened this?! My goodness, I wouldn't have waited to get right to Tom Sawyer track 1. This is a No Bar Code 1981 US original. No cut corners, no punch holes, no disposal bin damage of any kind. No record club text on the bottom of the back left side. This is the true first version. See below for return opportunity/requirements. ? - Record/Vinyl Grade: Still Sealed / Never opened - Assumed Mint ? - Cover Grade: VG++. Still Sealed with no holes, punches, cuts, cut-outs, or the like. Not a Record Club, which had additional text on back. THere are no rips or openings in the plastic, apart from small breather holes. This record matches all the signs of being a TRUE Original sealed version. The tight plastic wrap and stretched plastic at the top and bottom spine made me curious and look a little closer. It does appear that in 1981 Moving Pictures was shipped and sold in this same exact tight plastic and very commonly or categorically has tight curls on the sides that pull up on the corners. The corners are rounded from the plastic. I was worried because they looked like they've whited a bit, but I feel comfortable upon examination that this is caused by the tight plastic. This record was made with thinner cover card stock than usual so it was susceptible to being influenced by shelf wear and interior corner damage. There are also two creases diagonal from the top in the cover, they are not very noticeable. The side opening is mostly flush and tightly held together (a tell-tale sign of having never been touched or opened) but at the bottom and the top ends the tight seal of the front and back cover opening is loosened a bit and is not pressed together. This with almost certain probability is a direct result of the extra plastic seal at the corners, the extra plastic loosens the grip on the near sides. Anyway, I wanted to walk you through all my steps in examining this record because I want you to know that despite a few imperfections under the plastic, I believe with my seller rating and history on the line that I'm selling a never opened record. I hope you can know you have the best of the best! I've examined as many Moving Pictures SS albums I could find information on and I am completely confident in the veracity and beauty in this collector's piece. Here's my problem with selling my sealed records: there are a few resealed versions out there that may have once been opened and then resealed by bad or ignorant record shops. Even though this may have happened thirty years ago, I like to offer a refund guarantee to you. But because there are also a few tricky buyers/returners out there too, I have to offer the refund with one simple condition. The reason for this note is to offer you a 100% refund guarantee if this record is not actually new from the factory plant. But the conditional requirement is that I'd need video of you opening the record and removing it to show both sides. (I had a liar once replace a mint album with a scratched one from a record I bought from the band at their show and never opened). This may be an awkward "unboxing" for you to balance your smart phone or flipcam as you open what should most certainly be what is a virgin pristine beautiful record, but I'm saving for a wedding and I've already got scammed by the catering service, so I can't keep getting burned! RETURNS ON SEALED RECORDS PLEASE READ HERE: Due to the nature of sealed records I cannot know EXACTLY what is inside the sealed cover. I will not cover buyer's remorse returns, speculative purchase returns or anything similar. If this record is opened by the buyer and meets all of my claims as being a new Rush Moving Pictures record I cannot offer a refund. I will, however, cover that slim chance that once a great while ago this was a used record and a bad vendor resealed it. If you open this record and it has scratches, greasy thumbprints or very clear signs of wear or previous use I will guarantee a full refund. To qualify for the full value (price + s/h) refund and return you MUST TAKE CLEAR VIDEO OF THE OPENING OF THIS EXACT RECORD. YOU MUST SHOW BOTH SIDES OF THE DISC. THIS MUST BE ALL SHOWN IN THE SAME SCENE WITHOUT ANY CAMERA CUTS. Most of the time, in fact, hopefully EVERY TIME this happens, you the buyer will be left with silly footage of yourself opening and enjoying a pristine virgin vinyl with no one to send it to. But on the chance there's a used or different record inside, you have security with no risk! YOU NEED THIS ALBUM!
