Condizioni : copertina frontalmente laminata che presenta soltanto poca minima usura; grande stato, NEAR MINT / vinile che appare essere stato suonato frequentemente con un discreto numero di segni superficiali. Tuttavia il disco rivela all'ascolto pochi e leggeri clicchettii in un paio di tracce (2a e 4b); bello stato, VG+

Condition : front laminated cover shows only few minimal wear, NEAR MINT / vinyl appears to have been played frequently with a certain number of surface marks. However the record reveals to the listening a few slight clicks in a couple of tracks (2a and 4b), VG+

GRADAZIONE RIGOROSA - STRICTLY GRADED

Copertine e vinili sono visualmente gradati dopo un’attenta osservazione sotto la luce del sole fatta sulla mia terrazza a tetto. Nelle giornate grigie vengono controllati sotto una forte lampada alogena con l’aiuto di una lente d’ingrandimento. Tutti i i 33 giri in asta sono stati interamente ascoltati su un giradischi Rega Planar 3 fornito di una testina a magnete mobile Grado Statement 1. Per EP e singoli a 45 giri utilizzo un Thorens TD 166 BC con testina, sempre MM, Goldring 1006. Ritenendo che le abituali classificazioni quali Mint, Ex, Vg, ecc., ecc… siano poco significative per spiegare le reali condizioni dei dischi ed anche estremamente soggettive, precedo sempre tali classificazioni con una breve descrizione degli eventuali difetti che ho riscontrato, ad eccezione di Mint- che il più alto grado che conferisco a qualsiasi disco. Soltanto per le copie ancora sigillate all’origine utilizzo MINT/MINT.

Sleeves and vinyls are visually graded after a careful check in bright sunshine on my roof terrace. In the gray days I watch the records under a strong halogen lamp with the help of a magnifying glass. All LPs in auction have been fully heard on a Rega Planar 3 turntable with a Grado Statement 1 moving magnet cartridge. I listen EPs and singles 45 rpm. on a Thorens TD 166 BC turntable with a Goldring 1006 MM cartridge. Considering that the usual classifications such as Mint, EX, Vg, etc…, etc… are not significant to explain the real condition of the records in addition to a total subjectivity of opinion, I always introduce before these classifications a short description concerning any defects I have verified with the exception of Mint minus, the highest grade I declare. I use MINT/MINT exclusively for the still from factory sealed copies.

Note : ottimi brani Jazz composti da Sacha Distel ben coadiuvato dagli arrangiamenti del musicista e trombonista Americano Bill Byers. Fra le tante ed importanti collaborazioni di questo jazzista di Los Angeles menziono quelle con Count Basie, George Auld, Quincy Jones e Frank Zappa. "Samedi Soir" ha qualche sapore di rock and roll ed è guidato da un ottimo sax tenore accompagnato da una sezione ritmica vivace, "Thérèse" ha un andamento lento dove pianoforte e tromba danno vita ad un'atmosfera sensuale. "Les Blousons Noires" è un rock and roll con belle vene jazz. La migliore traccia, a mio modesto avviso, è l'ultima: "Blues pour Daniel" dalla sofisticata costruzione con un andamento ritmico piuttosto veloce, un'ottima tromba, un sax travolgente e un bel pianoforte.

Notes : excellent jazz tunes composed by Sacha Distel and well supported by the arrangements of the American musician and trombonist Bill Byers. Among the many and important collaborations of this jazz musician born in Los Angeles I mention those with Count Basie, George Auld, Quincy Jones and Frank Zappa. "Samedi Soir" has some flavor of rock and roll and is led by a magnificent tenor sax accompanied by a lively rhythm section, "Thérèse" has a slow development wherein piano and trumpet give life to a sensual atmosphere. "Les Blousons Noires" is a rock and roll with fine jazz veins. The best track, in my humble opinion, is the last one: "Blues pour Daniel" from the sophisticated structure with a rather fast rhythm, a great trumpet, an overwhelming sax and a nice piano.
