A killer 1984 LP from a re-constructed lineup of one of everybody’s favorite ‘50s rockin’ jazz
bands … best known as the backup band for LOUIS PRIMA. “… Butera and his band, the Witnesses (now, the WILDEST),
played a smoking blend of jazz, pop, and New Orleans R&B, and the material was considered
pretty risqué for its time - like nothing caught on disc before - the same kind of energy
that fired early rock-’n-roll artists like Elvis, but with material suited for an older audience.”
