Here is a once in a life time chance to get this super rare (only 200 copies were made of the FDH albums) UK jazz lp. "Some of you UK jazz / Library and soundtrack collectors will be aware of this mythical series of jazz recordings but only a few will own any. Apparently pressed up in micro runs of circa 200 copies for private use, every track has something for everyone! Very British sounding jazz themes featuring various tempos, instrumentation and fresh sounding melodies. JAZZ IN FLIGHT is funky, hard-hittin' bongo jazz (rapid-fire flip-top bongos) over a groovy jazz theme featuring muted trumpet solos and 'beatnick' jazz bass figures! DRAMA IN THREE FOUR is 3/4 tempo jazz, very cinematic with beautiful solo-ing from the trumpet player over a super-catchy rhythm section with vibes! WHISTLE STOP is back with the bongo percussion riffs but mixes up 'beat' instrumentation with jazz! Super-kool, strummed guitar riffs sounding very spy jazz indeed! WALTZ FOR TIN HORNS is a swinging affair at a perfectly paced tempo and the funky 'discotheque' track is SOUL ON THE SCENE! 100% 'swinging Carnaby street' funky jazz with a psychedelic, skanky rhythm section tailor-made for the London Mods! Get the picture now? The uncredited session men on this recording most probably represented the cream of the London / Brit jazz / beat scene so check it out. The soundfiles: The recordings are lo-fi recordings and therefore they don´t give the truth about the real sound quality - They are there to let you know how the records sound. Most records play great - expect M- and Ex records to play without sound for most of the time. Vg+ records also play great. Vg copies works as DJ copy. VG- is something I only list if the record is really rare. Often I give a more info on those in the text. .
