Description

You are bidding on this Columbia Records Box set SAXJ 2266-68. This is a 3 disc set includes leaflet and full line by line Libretto in English & Italian.
This is the "Barber of Seville" with Maria Callas & Tito Gobbi. This was pressed in South Africa by E.M.I. The inner sleeves are printed E.M.I South Africa. As can be seen these have the blue & silver labels as used on the first UK pressing. The box is fair, it has signs of wear & some corners have been repaired using clear tape inside (neat). The inner sleeves (poly lined) are in fair condition, the one for disc 2 has a edge tear about 2" long. They are yellowed. The vinyl is excellent but could do with a clean but I will leave this to the buyer. The box smells a little musty from age.
