PLEASE READ BEFORE BIDDING: Please read the entire auction listing, including shipping costs, before writing to ask a question. OUR GOAL IS CUSTOMER SATISFACTION. In the unlikely instance that you feel the need to open a resolution dispute before working with us, you will immediately be blocked from any further chance to acquire the rare music we present each and every week. Payment is required within seven days. We mail all paid items ONE WEEK after auctions end. Please keep in mind our listings are time consuming in detail and we are often traveling to find these gems, which at times delays the delivery schedule by a day or two. We ALWAYS process and ship every paid order. We have no control over parcels once they are mailed from our local Post Office.Overseas mail to some countries (Italy, Russia, France, in particular) has become very slow. Opening a dispute for slow mail is unacceptable and will result in blocking the bidder. We work hard to provide excellent service as is represented by our 8000 plus positive feedback. We use a VPI machine and thoroughly clean all records. Each order is carefully packaged by removing the LP from the jacket to avoid seam splits, use of 3 ml plastic cover sleeves over each LP and jacket, cardboard pad inserts, and placed in sturdy record mailers for safe delivery. We take Customer Service seriously, and want you to be satisfied. RARE limited British edition from near 30 years ago, the first and BEST 2nd press ... as indicated in the ACID ARCHIVES bible this pressing is the prefered issue to get if you can't afford - or find- the $1000+ valued first press - for it contains NO digital altering, rather features the "original" analog frequencies....
Here lies the superior garage rock performance from Montreal's finest. Tearing narrow blues/psych/r&b furrows in their backyard while mixing thumping originals and raving covers. An overall handful of stone cold classics best corralled within Nuggets-style compilations. Not so The Haunted, who strut 'n stomp from start to finish. From the snowy depths of sixties Montreal come the Haunted. This is a classic slice of sixties canadian bluesy-garage rock. Released in 1966, their single "1-2-5" was the high point of their short career. Early Canadian pioneers of long hair, distorted guitars and using light in their stage act the Haunted helped to show that you could be successful while remaining in Canada (relatively speaking of course). While some of their slower songs are a bit derivative, when they rock they really rock.The Haunted included: John Monk - singer, Jurgen Peter - lead and rhythm guitars, Al Birmingham - lead guitar and backing vocals, Bob Bozac - Bass, and Nick Farlowe- drums From the English-speaking community of Montreal, the group was very explicit in their desire to emulate the Rolling Stones, and most of their 1966-1968 singles (as well as their sole LP, from 1967) were in a raunchy R&B/blues-rock style which shines across both sides of their only album.... 1-2-5
