This was the first complete cycle of Beethoven's piano sonatas ever recorded. It has remained available almost continuously since it was first issued, a testimonial to the staying power of these legendary performances. Other pianists may have approached Beethoven with more secure technique, and there are certainly other conceptions of this music that deserve our attention. But the intellectual comprehension and--especially!--the intense emotional projection of Artur Schnabel's performances will remain treasures as long as listeners love Beethoven's music. CONDITION:
I'm not sure if these have been played but if they have it has been minimal. I don't see spindle marks. And probably not since they were first purchased. I didn't want to take all the LPs out of the sleeve because they look so mint and I didn't want to take the chance of scuffing. They are in immaculate condition. The box has some minor shelf wear. It has been stored properly in a temperature-controlled smoke-free environment. It's like new.
There will be nothing like hearing this in analog.
Liquidating a collection of someone who passed away. Check out my other auctions ADDITIONAL NOTE: After some research I have learned that unless these albums are sealed in their original plastic I cannot be 100% sure that they have "never been played." I am not trying to mislead anyone. All I know is that there is not one piece of dust, smudge or mark on any of the albums I am selling on ebay. They are in pristine and perfect condition without a doubt. And that my brother-in-law didn't play most of his collection -- and if he did it was minimal. However this is a "cover my ass" addition to the item description so noone can accuse me of trying to sell something with a false description. I am not a collector nor an audiophile. I just want these records to get to people who will appreciate them. Thanks.

This thing is heavy. It weighs approx. 7lbs. 3 oz. unpackaged. But for example the USPS is telling me it would be $6.49 to go to CA Media Mail. Standard post would be $22. Juts giving a heads up to international bidders. Looks like $70 bucks to the UK as an estimate. Shipping will be calculated to location at the cheapest way possible unless instructed otherwise. I estimated the above at 8lbs. 8 oz. to be safe.
