Description

HERE IS a double-sided sensational jazz hit, a record that should be on heavy rotation in every 78 collection.  


ON one side, THE MISSOURIANS play a gorgeous laid-back "SCOTTY BLUES," with great contributions from LAMMAR WRIGHT (trumpet), DePRIEST WHEELER (trombone) and THORNTON BLUE (clarinet). Three clarinets dominate at the end of the side, and they're out of this world.  


ON the flip, THE WASHBOARD RHYTHM KINGS, fueled by whatever potent stimulant was on hand, give out with a maniacal "TIGER RAG." This side starts wild, and only gets worse from there!  You can even hear them break the thing they used to make the tiger "roars"!  


Altogether, an exciting, "must hear" record, that is guaranteed to please, and on "Tiger Rag," disturb the neighbors!  


This original 1936 "Buff" Bluebird B-6084 is in E+ condition on "Scotty Blues," EE- on "Tiger Rag." Original Masters used on both sides.

These records come from my private collection, which I have been accumulating since 1967, and now am downsizing!  My highest priority in these eBay auctions is to give you the best possible idea of a record’s true condition and aesthetic value.  I always post at least four clear images, showing the record fore and aft, a close-up of the label, and the whole disc, warts and all.  If my purple prose won’t cut it, the pictures will!  Shipping is done with expert care.
