Description
Up for auction is a copy of Anna, the soundtrack to the TV special featuring Anna Karina, Serge Gainsbourg & Jean-Claude Brialy, and composed by Serge Gainsbourg. This is a first pressing, issued in 1967 on Philips, cat no P 70.391. This has always been an in-demand album for Francophiles & Gainsbourg completists, and it’s not getting any easier to find.
Condition: there are a couple of serious issues with this one. Firstly a rather unpleasant warp renders the first couple of songs on each side unplayable. This might be reparable by placing the album under a pile of heavy books for a couple of months, or using a “record flattening” service provided by various online dealers (including some on ebay), but I offer no guarantee. Additionally, there is a hairline crack through the first two tracks. Because these are currently unplayable anyway, I’ve not been able to assess whether the crack affects playback, but it is certainly not going to make the record sound better. The remainder of the LP has a few marks & scuffs which affect play, but it would seem to play through with no jumps or sticks (at 2g tracking). The front cover has some indentations from (removed) writing. The rear is generally fine. F/VG-. Not the best condition record by any means, but this is a chance to pick up a rare album at a bargain price.
My grades: I use a 10-point scale: M-; EX; VG+; VG; VG-; G+; G; G-; F (fair); P (poor). I never use mint as a grade for used records. I am a long-time (30+ years!) record collector, and play-grade where possible. I don’t use stock photos: the item pictured here is the item for sale. If you have any problems, I'll be happy to issue a refund (less shipping costs) no questions asked. Buy with confidence! Any questions? Need any more photos or an audio sample? I'm only an email away.
Payment: UK- cheques (preferred) or Paypal. Rest Of World- Paypal. Email for other accepted methods of payment. Shipping: £4 (UK 1st class), £5 (UK recorded) £7 (Europe) £9.50 (rest of world-airmail). I’m always happy to combine orders to save shipping costs. Insurance recommended for orders over £25; I am not responsible for parcels that go missing in the post!
