Shipping for the following item will be by Parcelforce Worldwide Priority Service tracked and signed for.  Of course the cost will vary depending on the buyer's location.  The cost automatically applied with BIN will be the maximum $125 (ie USA and Far East). Outstanding example of genuine promo poster for Pistol's debut single Anarchy in the UK, printed early 1977 after they were sacked by EMI in January following the Grundy TV tabloid furore.  EMI presumably still wanting to sell some records to keep their stock-holders happy, decided it 'politic' to remove their logo from the poster...  but not the catalogue number.  Hypocrites?  Maybe.  Which is the rarer poster, the one with the EMI logo or the one without?  I wonder.... what is certain is that there aren't many in this condition.

Anyway, this is the real thing, measuring a substantial 38½ x 28¼ inches (97.5 x 71.5 cm) and printed on light-weight, slightly shiny paper stock, perfect for posting/pasting on any surfaces around town.  And very easily damaged.  The print and colour is crisp and bright.

This copy was kept rolled for years until I bought it from well-known memorabilia collector/dealer Paul Mulvey of Cloud Cuckoo Land in Mevagissy in Cornwall, all of twelve years ago or so.  It has been in its frame since then.  The first photos are of the poster in its frame, the others, obviously out of the frame, including a shot where you can see the paper 'hinges' that held the poster to the black mounting board.  I have photographed everything I would want to see if I were a potential buyer.  The edges particularly, where you will see some light wear from the years in a closed tube.  On a couple of areas I applied a little acid-free archival tape to the back for reinforcement, not repair (I have included a shot of the tape package so you can check it out).  There are no rips, pin holes or folds/creases on this poster.  There is a tiny loss to one edge which can be seen in photo' number 7.  

Overall the poster is in wonderful condition, obviously due to the care that people have taken of it over the past 41 years. In the photos one can see that it has noticeably 'rippled' during its years hanging behind glass.  As mentioned, it is very light-weight paper and this is inevitable without permanently bonding to a substrate. Needless to say, it would be easy enough to flatten.  Some might even fancy linen-backing. 

Ideally I would like the buyer to collect in person.  That way I could also hand over the frame for a small consideration.  It wasn't cheap, being of aluminium and with UV protective glass.  Failing that, the buyer can be sure of my packing it really well, rolled with acid-free tissue paper in a bomb-proof tube.

Regular clients will know that I keep my descriptions brief and to the point.  If you are looking, I figure you will know what you are looking at.  I would not presume to condescend nor would I wish to bore you to death with unnecessary hyperbole.  Used records play-checked on EMT 930/929/TSD15/TMD25 and cleaned when necessary on a Loricraft Pro II.

 GRADINGS:

 MINT (M): Brand new and unplayed. Perfect, no indications of being handled or played. I only use this grading if I know for sure the record has not been played.

 NEAR MINT (NM): The record is virtually flawless, clean and shiny.  Very minor, barely visible innerbag wear may be permitted, but no scratches. The disc should play with no audible noise. Jacket is as close to perfect.

 EXCELLENT (EX): Record plays near perfectly, but may have minor paper scuffs that do not interfere with the sound quality. There can possibly be a non-sounding mark or two but nothing that affects play. Record is clean and shiny.  Any issues with the jacket will be minor and described.

Because I have never collected records that are a lower grade than EX, you won't be finding any for sale here.
