Description

I have for sale one copy of The Beatles' Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band. This is the MONO 1st pressing Vinyl from 1967, released by Parlaphone, PMC 7027.

The Matrix Numbers are;

Side One matrix: XEX.637-1

Side Two matrix: XEX.638-1

The stampers are 4GGT and 4PT. The KT tax code is present.

The vinyl is in excellent condition with only one small light scratch on Side 1 . Side two has a few small, very light scratches. None of the scratches affect play in the slightest and the record plays beautifully with no jumps or clicks! There is only a bare minimum of background crackle. I find it hard to imagine that there are many copies out there of this quality! It's near perfect!

The label has Yellow on Black lettering, with the "Sold In UK" text and "The Gramaphone Co. Ltd" text around the rim. There are a few light spindle marks but they're really hard to see!

The inner sleeve is the red and white patterned one with the "Patents Applied for" lettering, it is in excellent condition.

The main gatefold sleeve is in very good condition. It was made by Garrod and Lofthouse. The front is perfect aside from a few small creases which can only be noticed when held up to the light. The inside and back are fine except for a shared crease in the top corner, this is shown in one of the photos below. There are a few small creases on the back cover, again shown in the photos. There is a small scuff tear at the base of the spine (about 1cm).

The Green Cardboard Insert is IMMACULATE and I don't think it ever really left its home within the sleeve!

Overall this is a SUPERB 1st pressing copy of, arguably, The Beatles' most famous album!
