SHADES OF BLUE, VooDoo Blues. b/w Luceanne. 1965, original 7" in original company cover.

A chance to bid on this brilliant Rare freakbeat single.. (for sometime this was thought to be a Joe Meek production, but this has never been proved, so far?)

When you listen to this single you will hear why it was thought that Mr Meek was involved. Full of haunting lyrics and haunting guitar..

Shades of Blues evolved into the outfit Toby Twirl, but I still think this early recording is a great slice of the UK Freakbeat scene.

A real gem and not offered very often on ebay as a stock copy (demo's seem to be more common) So have a listen to the sound bite from A and B sides.. see what you think.

In Very good condition for age age, so grab it while you can!

MATRIX Numbers: A.side. 7XCE 18260-1 ..... B.side. 7XCE 18261-1

CONDITION: (covers graded first)            VG/VG-

Cover:  has some light edge and ring wear from age, but no seam splits.

Record: has full shine, with some light surface marks and a few light scratches. Still plays VG++/EX with light surface crackle  at the beginning and the end, but no jumps or skips. Listen to the sound bites and you will hear that this description is correct. You will not be dissappointed.

Labels:  EX, a few light spindle marks. A.side has tiny tear on credits (see Scan) B.side has K T tax code embossed.

A Very Good Keeper copyof this hard to fin freakbeat release.
