SHINY MEN w/ROBERT WYATT
AGAIN! LP
Experimental Records
Rare album on United Dairies sub-label Experimental Records with appearence of Robert Wyatt.
Some info on the release: Rare album on Nurse with wound's / United Dairies Experimental sub-label!! This was the last release on the label following the release of the Experiments with Ice record. Features Robert Wyatt on "Dream Pussy" and the Bombay Ducks (another United Dairies fave) on production. Musically this one has received a wide range of categorization, people compared it to the Soft machine, Caravan, i even found this one to be listed in the Canterbury (i guess because of Wyatt) musical scene discography. For those into art punk, Homosexuals, Ici La Bas, Milk from Cheltenham, Free Agents and Sally Smitt, It's War Boys, Sir Alick and the Phaser, Sara goes pop, Germain Hubert Ales, Ptose Production, etc..
"With a definite akin to the likes of Dalek I via band members to damn proficient to hide their prog pasts and a penchant for investing their borderline commercial new wave with all manner of subtle fuckery, This black sheep of Nurse With Wound's United Dairies label (released via John Fothergill's Experimental Records sub-division and much disliked by Stapleton) turns out to actually be a pretty damn cool record. Also...Robert Wyatt freaks take note, as he appears on the track Dream Pussy here, and is thanked in the credits for offering much encouragement. Guess that'd account for the post-prog hangover...".
Condition: Vinyl lies in mint- condition, quite well preserved, while the fragile cover lies in very good- condition with a couple of tears at the opening and bended bottom left corner.
