SKIP BIFFERTY psych 45 ON LOVE /COVER GIRL 1967 RCA VICTOR 1621
On offer is a SKIP BIFFERTY 45 rpm entitled ON LOVE c/w COVER GIRL released on RCA VICTOR RCA 1621 in the UK in 1967.
This psych 45 from Skip Bifferty was deemed by the record buying public to be too un-commercial for the charts [even in the Summer of Love 1967] - and so not many copies were sold. The British Psychedelic Trip discusses this late 1967 single as follows: 'With its Marriott-esque vocals and driving fuzz guitar On Love took the late-period mod/beat and infused it with the spirit of Psychedelia'.
If you do not know this 45 I recommend you check it out on youtube where someone has kindly made it freely available.
- The disc is visually in nice VG+ condition: the vinyl has a nice gloss/sheen and is very clean.
- The labels are in nice clean and clear condition.
- It is housed in its original RCA sleeve which is in EX condition.
- I have test-played this psych 45 for this auction and it played and sounded GREAT on my BOSE hi-fi system.
