SLADE Play It Loud UK POLYDOR A2/B2 James Upton Sleeve HARD PSYCH ROCK Ambrose
Slade, Play It Loud.
UK pressed Polydor Records stereo LP, 2383 026.
Housed in a James Upton Ltd printed sleeve, so not the very first issue, but still early and with A2/B2 matrix suffixes.
Vinyl visually a strong VG plus. There is just very light evidence of spindle wear. The surfaces are still glossy and display just a very few hairline scuff marks.
Plays a conservative VG plus as some occasional very low level crackle at separator bands and the few quieter spots. This is very unobtrusive and applies more to the A side with the B side playing nearer EX.
Inner sleeve EX.
External sleeve graded G. This is due to some water damage along the top edge, but only affecting a small area to both front and rear. There has been some leeching with other sleeves, and there is a small patch of surface loss to the sleeve at both front and rear. Bar cutting into the front titles just a fraction the damage is against a white background so not too bad. There is also some darkening marking to the sleeve at top right corner and similar to rear in same area. Other than this the sleeve is fairly sound with just light overall wear. Spine is intact and entry side is still acceptably crisp. No stickers. pen etc.
