We play through most of the records, unless the item is clearly mint, or sealed..in which case we don't play them, thus maintaining their 'unplayed' status!  Obviously with some of these rare items there will be the odd 'anomoly' along the way , the odd little static pop or lead in 'sizzle' for a split second.. nothing is perfect we find! all systems differ, but we aim to describe these as accurately as possible for you.... PLEASE ENJOY THIS ITEM YOU ARE NOW LOOKING AT..

THE VINYL   MINT-  IMMACULATE  PLAYS SUPERB

As you can see, this vinyl is the highly prized EARLIEST MATRIX 1st UK 'HEAVYWEIGHT' pressing on the POLYDOR RED LABEL.

This first pressing is a super condition vinyl which has survived being trashed by Glam rock teenage girls throughout the 70s on poor quality record 'dansette' machines!!  There is no dulling anywhere and overall it is in incredible condition for an LP of this age.  We see many copies of this LP, but rarely do we see a copy IN SUCH GREAT SHAPE as this.

There are a only few tiny light whisp lines and a couple of feint hairlines, nothing of which spoils the only some very light lead in static  as you may expect but overall this LP was a real joy to hear and has no jumps or skips to spoil the listening pleasure. It is a real beauty clearly archived for many years.

The centre hole shows no hint of any wear and there are no visible 'skate lines', again confirming this LP has seen only a handful of careful plays at best.

OVERALL WE FEEL  IT IS IN EVERY WAY, AN OUTSTANDING VAULT COPY

Labels:   MINT-    A few little 'craters' that were made on pressing (lots of copies have this) nothing to worry about, we have not seen a 'SLADEST' that does not have these.

THE SLEEVE     EX+  STRONG 

Correct MATT BOOKLET Gatefold first issued earliest sleeve by 'EJ DAY' -Later sleeves WERE SINGLE SLEEVES, and loose booklet. Then the booklet was stopped all together.

 This sleeve is in incredible condition. We see many copies of this LP on our travels but to find one as good as this is so rare.

Very minimal wear to the edges in a few tiny spots, no creases of any note, and no feathering to report..the black inks remaining in superb condition with no powdery rub other than the tiniest litle arc on the sleeve back bottom

The front normally where you see ring wear- here it is free of any rub!

 There are a couple of little spider lines over the edges and one tiny white spot...thats it!

The open edge remains in immaculate sharp condition .

The open out of the gatefold is stunning, the booklet glued to the spine as they all were (we have never sen a stapled version and don't think they exist?)

The spine edge is totally unmarked and all legends are perfectly readable, with no bubbling or wear at all
