Description

This LP of SOUTH OF HEAVEN was signed at Toad's Place in New Haven, CT in September 1990 when SLAYER did a short run of dates just prior to the release of "Seasons In The Abyss". I was outside with a huge bag of stuff to get signed but i also had my artwork with me. Long story short- I was invited inside by the band's manager Rick Sales via a roadie who I had shown my artwork to. I was able to meet the band and their management and also a member from their merchandising company Brokum merchandising (now defunct) After this meeting I ended up designing several SLAYER t-shirt designs (1990-1995), two of which went to retail and three which ended up being tour shirts.
The band was very gracious and they signed everything I threw at them. Posters, tapes and the 5 slabs of vinyl I had at the time. If you notice on this particular LP Tom Araya actually signed it twice- the first time with silver marker which didn't look great (according to him) so he used Jeff's sharpie over it but just below.
At this time I am only selling THIS LP and a cassette of "Haunting The Chapel" which is also autographed. Look for that listing if you are interested.  I may or may not list some posters or additional LP's in the future.
See photos for what you are bidding on. The record cover is a bit beat up, the spine has some damage. But this is signed by a band that isn't really together anymore and also one member left us too soon. R.I.P. Jeff
