Description
196? Excello Records LP 8003, this is a US mono pressing - NOT a recent reissue - of the classic Slim Harpo LP from Joao Gilberto titled "...'Sings Raining In My Heart'". This copy has the heavy cardboard jacket with a "Plays On Either Mono-Or-Stereo Equipment" sticker affixed to lower left corner. Label is white with "Excello Records" in the curved red arrow at top center and the "Nashboro Record Co, 177-3RD Ave. N., Nashville, Tenn" address notation at the bottom, meaning this is most likely a late 60's pressing. Jacket is beautiful NM-, showing at most a bit of handling. LP grades about VG+, with paper and surface mark hairlines on either side. Playback is solid throughout, with some instances of background crackle or the occasional pop, although there was nothing during playback that I found very distracting. The aforementioned labels are crisp with no spindle wear. Buyer pays $8.50 priority or $4.50 media shipping in the US, $16.25 airmail overseas. I accept Paypal & US Postal Money Orders.
