Four In Blue was a 1969 album by Motown R&B group The Miracles and was the final Miracles album of the 1960s.
It reached # 78 on the Billboard Pop album chart, and the Top 10 of its R&B chart, peaking at #3 but didn't chart in the UK
Interestingly, no singles were released from this album in the U.S. or the U.K.
The album takes its name from the blue silk tuxedos that The Miracles wear on its cover.
Although not featured on the cover, Miracles members Claudette Robinson and Marv Tarplin also contributed to this album.
The album is a combination of covers and original material, written by Miracles lead singer Smokey Robinson, and Motown staff songwriters, such as Al Cleveland , Terry Johnson , Deke Richards , Ashford & Simpson and Richard Morris.
Known as The Miracles' "forgotten" album, few people today, outside of hard-core Miracles and Motown fans, remember that it even exists.
The album's song "You Send Me (With Your Good Loving)" sounds like a hit; The album also includes "When Nobody Cares," a cry for racial tolerance; the wistful "Don't Say You Love Me," a great Richard Morris production; and Holland, Dozier, Holland's "My World Is Empty Without You".
Cover songs in this collection included The Beatles' Hey Jude , The Supremes' My World Is Empty Without You , The Righteous Brothers' You've Lost That Lovin' Feelin, and The 5th Dimension's California Soul

LABELS: The labels are clean, fresh and unmarked with barley a spindle trace to be seen - beautiful copy - seen very, very little play - NEAR MINT
VINYL Visual: The vinyl surfaces still retain their original deep, like-new glossy sheen and are practically unmarked - NEAR MINT
VINYL Audio: Outstanding audio delivery - crystal clear, clean, strong and fresh sound - very top and bottom heavy with virtually no middle - as with all these original Motown presses - which gives the playback an incredible immediacy. On playback at a loud volume there are no audio issues to report - it plays beautifully and cleanly throughout to an extremely high standard - very, very impressive indeed and critically graded a very strong NEAR MINT for sound quality - superb copy of a rare and pretty hard to find LP
SLEEVE: The 1st issue front laminated G&L flipback sleeve is also in lovely condition with a deep, glass-like gloss to the front laminated surface (with very little rubbing) and a practically unmarked unlaminated back. The edges and spine show no wear - all spine text is clear and bold (with just a few light creases). Beautifully preserved example - EXCELLENT+
