This is a RARE UK 1st Press of ‘Fourth’ by Soft Machine. This press is complete original S-64280-A1 / B1 matrix, the plain orange CBS label and textured, embossed EJ Day sleeve. 


The record is in Excellent condition. The vinyl on each side has a sensational high gloss, with no whitening of the grooves or obvious wear at all, just a couple very light wispy marks. It is in superb condition. The CBS labels are completely clean. The orange is exceptionally bold and the black text is sharp. There is only the slightest spindle wear. 


The sound quality is Excellent. The vinyl lies completely flat on the turntable and from the moment it begins it is exceptionally rich and vibrant. Superb clarity and separation. 


The matt sleeve is in Very Good+ condition. The colours are extremely bright, the text is sharp and the picture is perfect. The embossed four is unworn. There is light edge and ring wear. The whole sleeve is solid and the spine is firm.
