Description

SONIC'S RENDEZVOUS BAND City Slang Stereo/Mono Orchide OR 1002 1978. Ultra-rare original pressing of what some consider the rockin’-est five minutes ever committed to vinyl. Indeed, this sucker cooks! Cover/vinyl in strong VG+ condition. Cover has slight ringwear and some surface tearing where price tag was. Stereo side of vinyl has two small, light scratches that don’t affect play. Back cover reads: "This is a special preview edition."

About this 45 the Detroit Free Press wrote: "This is explosive, powerhouse Detroit rock and roll in the manner of the MC5 or the Stooges. Which isn't too surprising, since former MC5'er Fred (Sonic) Smith heads the group, Smith and Scott Morgan lead the way on stun guitar, while Gary Rasmussen and Scott (Rock Action) Asheton shine on bass and drums, respectively. This is five minutes of hard, hard rock with a marvelous stomp stutter chorus."
