rarest press ever made orig rare UK STEREO 1st press with a unique psychedelic cover
one of the rarest Yardbirds LPs ever made
(with a beautiful orig 27/11d price on the cover which adds to it charm!)
orig UK STEREO 1st pressing FONTANA INTERNATIONAL SFJL 960 1967 1Y/2Y
> this is the first ever Stereo release of this LP, Matrix is stamped P.1967, it was given its first Stereo pressing in 1967- as Stereo's were starting to sell well, and this LP had no Stereo option
> the back cover is exactly the same as the first Mono pressing - while the front cover was 'psyched up' and is hugely desirable, and is unique to this Stereo pressing!
> plus the Yardbirds were still together when this LP was released - and the pictures on the front cover were updated to include guitar hero Jeff Beck !!!
> LP has the Fontana 'paste' back cover (no longer used after '67)
> this issue sold far less than the Mono press - and is far rarer
> the first press Stereo mix is awesome - direct from the master tape!
> this press has a miles better and far clearer 1st stereo mix - much better than the Mono
orig unique laminate front cover fantastic nr.new condition, straight spine, corners true, seams unworn, no ringwear, colours still brilliant vibrant psych print, very slight foxing on rear cover; super clean Fontana label shows very light spindle one or two plays at most!, vinyl looks FANTASTIC super nr.MINT copy has like new factory fresh feel one visible ghost mark only from orig factory press which has not 'broken the skin'
