Description
I’ve been an eBay member for around 15 years with over 1600 100% positive feedback. I wanted to keep record sales separate and so this is a new account.
Records are visually graded, but I do listen to intros for crackle and clarity, and play through any marks.
SONNY BOY WILLIAMSON & THE YARDBIRDS WITH ERIC CLAPTON – RECORDED LIVE AT THE CRAWDADDY – 1963 – 1st PRESSING – EX
Rare blues album – even rarer in such good condition. Recorded in 1963 when Eric Clapton was a member of the Yardbirds, but not released until 1965 by which time he’d moved on and been replaced by Jeff Beck.
I believe this to be a first pressing, although my label wording is slightly different to the one on discogs where it shows “P 1965” and this copy has the full “Recording first published in 1965”. Everything else matches though and the 1L & 2L matrices on this copy are, I think, conclusive.
The heavy vinyl looks great, very black and very glossy – labels on both sides in excellent shape. With vinyl of this age there are almost always going to be condition issues, but these are slight:
Side 1 – No visible scuffs or hairlines, but there are two “white dots” on track 4. The larger clicks 6 times and the small one just once.
Side 2 – A couple of hairlines, which I have played through and could hear NO nasty noises.
The cover is also in excellent condition. The border of the front and the title writing appear quite white in the photo, it is more of a cream colour and is best seen in the “spine shot”. A little dirty on the unlaminated back, but nothing serious. Good clean spine. A couple of corners are a little scuffed.
Altogether doing fine at almost 55 years old!
