Description

  1. Blue Note Records 1570, this is an original US mono pressing of the Sonny Clark LP "Dial S For Sonny." This pressing has "deep groove" labels on both sides with the 47 West 63rd NYC address notation; "RVG" and the "ear" (P) are clearly identifiable in the dead wax, as is the "9M." Jacket (with no address on the back) is VG+, showing some minor rubbing/handling around edges and a few small stains on the reverse; there are no split seams, but original owners wrote their names on the back cover. LP is about VG-, showing some scuffs and scratches. Playback is okay - some background crackle along with pops/ticks over the marks that feel to the touch (most noticeably during "Dial S For Sonny" and "Sonny's Mood"), but no skips or repeats. I still found it to be an enjoyable - if imperfect - listen. Labels are crisp, but do show a few minor spindle lines. First original pressing of this one I have ever come across, and a solid filler copy for anyone that doesn't want to spend a couple of thousand on a! Buyer pays $4.50 media mail shipping in the US; sorry, no international shipping addresses on this item. Thanks for looking and good luck!
