Original United States Mono pressing of this hard to find album. The copy we are offering is on the Deep Groove “33 1/3 Microgroove Long Playing” label with the “47 West 63rd - NYC” address. Accompanying Sonny Clark on this LP are John Coltrane, Donald Byrd, Paul Chambers, Curtis Fuller, and Art Taylor.
COVER: The cover grades Fair due to previous moisture issues on the bottom and some mold. The cover is curling and has a 1 inch top right seam split, a 4 inch bottom right seam split, and a 4 inch top spine split. The back of the cover has a name neatly written on it and one old tag in the top right edge.
VINYL: We carefully cleaned this LP on a VPI Machine. Side One grades EX. However, Side Two has a long vertical 10 inch scratch, and also a separate 2 inch scratch and another 1 inch scratch. There is also some additional surface marking. We carefully touched the scratches on Side Two and cannot feel any of them on the grooves. We also listened to part of Side Two and the scratches have no noticeable effect on the sound of the music (and the music sounds good!). However, with the visibility of the long scratch on this side, we are grading Side Two VG.
