I have been an obsessive collector of vinyl LP's and singles for many years, and from the very first I have always been very careful about the condition of the records I have bought. Once in my posession the records have been well stored and always very carefully handled. If the records have been played at all, it has always been on a good quality hi - fi system, the deck being a Linn LP12 deck with a top of the range arm and cartridge.

As a result, most of the many thousands of items in my collection are in excellent condition or better.

Now, in order to create more space at home, I have decided to cut the collection back to a core of my personal favourite artistes, and to dispose of the remainder. These I intend to list for auction over the coming months.

Here for auction is a very nice UK, original ,stereo pressing of the Spontaneous Combustion LP entitled 'Triad' on the Harvest label number SHVL 805, issued in 1972.

The unlaminated outer sleeve is in pretty great condition with only some minor edge wear and bumping (see photo); certainly no major issues here and considering the sleeve is unlaminated a fantastically good survivor. The LP has all 3 of the band picture inserts (see photo) and all of these are in great condition. The LP has its original unlaminated inner sleeve which again is without major fault. It is currently in, and will be shipped with, a new lined inner sleeve.

The all important vinyl is bright and clean with no visible markings that I could find, even in strong edgewise lighting. The labels look like new and there are no spindle hole marks winding out of the center. Pretty stunning in this regard.

A classic album then, in extremely collectable condition, you'll certainly never have to upgrade this one. I'd rate it EX/EX+ using the Record Collector grading system.
