Description
On offer is a 1983 UK 11-track vinyl LP on the RSO label (RSD 5023) in original cover, as shown in picture above (photos are of actual item).
Original Motion Picture Soundtrack of the film "Star Wars: Return Of The Jedi", composed and conducted by John Williams and performed by the London Symphony Orchestra.
UK first pressing Matrix numbers read RSD 5023 A//1 ? 420, RSD 5023 B//1 ? 420 and with 'Bilbo Tape One' hand-etched into the dead wax by the labels on both sides.
Also of interest is a grammatical and amusing spelling error on the Side 1 label in reference to track 5, which reads as "Han Solo Returns ( "At The Court Of The Jabba The Butt" !!). I've not seen this before and could only find a single reference to this error when searching on the net, so am presuming that it's rare and unique to first pressings (?)

CONDITION
COVER - generally in VG condition
- has a little minor rubbing in a couple of the corner areas.
- shows some very slight 'storage' outer rim record-shaped impression, with a faint related line/ripple in top right area (about 12-1 o'clock position, just above where it says "Of The Jedi")
- has about 10 small lines/crinkles by the spine.
- about 4 small thumb 'handling' ripples by the side opening.
- small (1cm) bit of wear to middle of top seam.
- so, some signs of age and handling, but nothing too major at all.

- viewed under a bright halogen bulb, there are a few very light 'hairline' surface marks on each side.
- Side 1 has a noticeable but light (non-feelable) surface mark on tracks 3 and 4 (and just into start of track 5), does not affect play on my deck. It is otherwise fine, with just the odd very light 'hairline' as mentioned above, so will say VG to VG+.
- Side 2 is generally EX with just the odd light 'hailine' surface mark as mentioned above.
- there are NO deep or feelable marks or scratches.

GRADING
NEW: Just that - still sealed items will be presumed to be in 'new' condition. Any visible signs of wear/storage etc. beneath the shrinkwrap will be mentioned..
NEAR MINT (NM): The record itself is in very close to 'as new' condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in almost perfect condition. (please note that I will NEVER use the 'MINT' grade, as I think you are asking for trouble! The highest grade for an item that is not new will use will be NM [Near Mint])
EXCELLENT (EX): The record shows signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.
VERY GOOD (VG): The record has obviously been played a number of times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and maybe some occasional light scratches. If there is any surface noise it will be occasional, light and unobtrusive. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.
GOOD (G): The record has obviously been played a lot and while it still plays through OK, it will have a lot of surface marks and/or light scratches (maybe also the occasional 'feelable' scratch) and most likely there there will be regular and noticeable surface noise. The cover and contents may suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine and/or seam splits, discoloration, etc.

- UK, European EU countries (but NOT Italy, Russia, Turkey or non-EU members), Norway
- USA and Canada.
- Australia, New Zealand and Japan.
If you live in a country that I am prepared to send by regular, uninsured mail please bear in mind that I always get a receipt and proof of posting for every item sent, but THERE WILL NOT BE A TRACKING NUMBER UNLESS YOU HAVE PAID FOR INSURED/TRACKED MAIL. Should an item take longer than expected to arrive, I will do everything I can to help, but please don't assume that there is a tracking number! Most overseas buyers seem to assume this, for some reason! If you want the item to be tracked, please choose the 'International Signed For' option at checkout - thanks!
Finally, please note that if your item (or if the combined values of the items in a single parcel) is £20.00 or above, then insurance is compulsory wherever you live. This is an extra £1.10 for 'Signed For' in the UK (up to the value of £50, after which extra cover will need to be paid for by the buyer) or an extra £5.30 for overseas buyers to cover 'International Signed For'.
