    This is the single by Steely Dan titled "Deacon Blues". A test pressing. Released in 1978 by ABC Records. From their sixth studio album "Aja". It was released as the second single from the album and performed modestly well. The song was the duo's fifth Top 20 hit on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, where it peaked at number 19 the weeks of June 10 and 17, 1978. It remained in the Top 40 for eight weeks. The length of this version is 6:40. Matrix #AB-12355 29706 M. In stereo. Flip side is the same song, same length. I've owned this since it came out and have played it a few times including just before listing it. Condition is good, no skips, scuff marks, or scratches. I've cleaned it with a LEBO Magnetic Record Cleaner brush. I worked in the entertainment business here in Hollywood and got a lot of records for free. Sometimes duplicates.     Steely Dan is an American rock band founded in 1971 in New York by Walter Becker (guitars, bass, backing vocals) and Donald Fagen (keyboards, lead vocals). Initially the band had a stable lineup, but in 1974 Becker and Fagen retired from live performances to become a studio-only band, opting to record with a revolving cast of session musicians. They played together in a variety of bands from their time together studying at Bard College in Annandale-on-Hudson, New York. They later moved to Los Angeles, gathered a band of musicians, and began recording albums.
