Sleeve Condition: Creased at spine, a little wear but otherwise no damage, writing or stickers, Vg.
Record Condition: OK, the tough bit! This is a very, very scruffy copy. It’s had a hard life and is heavily marked and can really only be described as Fair. The second to last track on Side Two (When All Your Friends Are Gone) jumps several times (I counted three).
My first thought was to simply chuck this away. However, having played it through I was just so impressed with the astonishingly good, blues-based, prog-rock that it is, I played it again – and again. And then I played it again. Though there is noticeable background noise and clicks and pops, frankly, it all fades away in relation to the wonderfully, thoughtful, psych-blues/jazz, moody music. It’s here to sell, very low starting price. With all its defects, this is a very, very rare record.
Musically, it is brilliant Late 60's English R&B opening with the wonderful (yes, this is where it originally came from) Junior's Wailing and then goes through several styles from the jazz influenced featuring Henry McNair on flute to the straight blues of Boyd’s, ‘24 Hours’ combined with an amazing production which makes it sound as if it was recorded in a railway arch club somewhere giving it such a live feel.
