Final price reduction..& this is a no brainer and true bargain..   Nice Beatles "Yesterday and Today" 3rd State Stereo #5  Butcher Cover LP. Overall a good solid copy for the money and worthy of framing or further restoration. There are a couple of small tears, the most prominent one is located near the bottom right corner near Ringo's knee, and then there is one smaller tear near the bottom center, and another very small one near the song titles and some small horizontal tears located along some of the glue lines as you can see in the photos. There is also the normal glue residue left over from the peel which is common with the #5 LA copies as the glue they used in LA is very difficult to remove. There are absolutely no touch up's so what you see is exactly what you get.   As far as the all important spine goes, the spine has held up pretty well and it is intact with no splitting issues although the lettering is getting hard to see in places. The top seam was split 50% across and bottom seam is split all the way across, but they have now been reglued and repaired.    The Stereo Butcher is much rarer than the Mono Butcher. It is estimated that 750,000 copies of the Butcher Cover were produced in total, and out of those 600,00 were produced in Mono, so that leaves only 150,000 copies that were ever produced in Stereo, and who knows how many of those have since been destroyed by unsuccessful home peel attempts. So the mono version out numbers the stereo version by a ratio of 5 to 1.   100% Guaranteed to be an official 1966 3rd state Stereo Butcher, but otherwise item is sold as is so please view the photos carefully as all sales are final. This auction is for the cover mostly, but I will include a copy of the Rainbow Label Capitol Stereo St-2553 LP which is only in fair condition in a plain sleeve, as I do not have the original orange or gold Capitol inner sleeve that was originally issued with the LP, but the orange inner sleeves do show up on ebay quite often.
