I saw the Stooges many times in 1970, in NYC in February, Michigan in March and Providence in April and so on and so on. The album you hold in your hands is an excellent representation of what they sounded like live. Iggy, ever the chameleon, the rock and roll unicorn, Mr. Unpredictable. Ron, so much the matador, turning his back to the audience, red Flying V in his hands, above his head, wah, wah, wah, sounding amazing and like nothing I have ever heard before. Dave, so serious with that big bass sound, aiming at you, slowly, hitting you right in the guts with the vibes from it. Scott, Mr. Consistent, always dangerous, born to raise hell, keeping the rhythm section steady no matter what Iggy did or where Iggy went with the music.
