STUNNING VG++/NM Captain Beefheart Trout Mask Replica Straight 2MS 2027 ORIGINAL 1970 Pressing

Labels have the Straight "5455 Wilshire" address and the 2MS 2027 catalog number which is how the album was originally sold in 1970.  From Discogs:
"In January 1970 the Reprise Records catalog 2 MS 2027 appeared on label issues in the US, using the original gatefold (with catalog 1053) - in which some issues appeared with blue 'Bizarre' labels.  Releases then adopted the Warner Bros. & WEA (Warner Elektra Atlantic) identities thereafter." 

Vinyl: Sides 2, 3, and 4 are VG++ bordering NM and side 1 is VG++ with two tiny marks that can be seen in the last photo. That is the worst and really only mark on all sides. The labels are very clean.
Playgraded: I played this LP and I had to push both records on the spindle like it was never put on a 'table before. It plays as quiet as a CD. The sound is excellent. There is ZERO background noise which is very important for this record due to the nature of the music. I do not like to use "NM" and if you check my over 1,300 listings for records you can see how few times that grade is given. However, I feel that not giving a NM playback grade to this LP is doing an injustice.
Cover: VG++ It is very hard to find this original STS 1053 first cover without ringwear, but this one looks as though it was just removed from the plastic. Besides a tiny and I mean tiny, amount of corner wear and a 1/16" ding on the bottom seam (see photos #10 & 11), the cover is damn near perfect. The insert is not included.
