BEAUTIFUL COPY - POSSIBLY NEVER BEEN PLAYED
ON THE SURFACE A MORE TRADITIONAL JAZZ SET FROM THE ARKESTRA BUT SPACIOUS AND LOOSE AND PRIMARILY CONCERNED WITH THE EXPLORATION OF SOUND - GREAT STUFF - A REALLY FANTASTIC LP
Recorded around 1960/61 in Chicago, immediately before The Arkestra moved to New York and released in 1965 on Sun Ra's own Saturn Records label (the label has the Chicago, Illinois address)
PRESSED ON HEAVYWEIGHT VINYL WITH THE ORIGINAL GOLD/RED SATURN LABELS

Clean, bright and unmarked labels with no spindle traces or signs of use
VINYL Visual: EXCELLENT
Both surfaces retain their original deep glossy sheen.
There are some superficial pressing blemishes and one or two pressing 'dimples' but none of these have any audio impact (all no doubt present from new - these were independently pressed in very very small numbers - probably just a few hundred - for distribution at Ra gigs and specialist jazz stores in NY)
VINYL Audio: EXCELLENT+++
A wonderful copy which plays beautifully with no major audio issues of note - incredibly impressive sound performance throughout - crystal clear, loud, bright, razor sharp and wonderfully immediate.
This copy has possibly never even been played.
A superb LP from Ra - on the surface quite traditional with some gorgeous middle-eastern sounds - but far from traditional with a loose and spacious atmosphere of quiet, unforced inventiveness - absolutely wonderful stuff
SLEEVE: NEAR MINT
The original thick card matt cover is clean and unmarked with no splits, very little rubbing to the surfaces and just very light 'bumps' to the spine corners
