I HAVE JUST BOUGHT A NICE COLLECTION OF UNIQUE PROMOS / TEST PRESSING AND ACETATE. THIS COLLECTION CAME FROM A PERSON WHO USED TO WORK IN A MAJOR RADIO STATION FROM THE LATE 1960'S TO THE EARLY 1990'S. THERE ARE UNIQUE TEST PRESSING ACETATE ETC.. OF ROCK / PUNK / SOUL / PROG ETC... SO PLEASE KEEP WATCHING MY AUCTIONS OVER THE NEXT FEW MONTHS FOR THIS ONCE IN A LIFETIME CHANCE TO GET THESE UNIQUE TEST PRESSINGS AND ACETATES. This is a RARE ORIGINAL UK APPLE DEMO PRESSING / BEATLES RELATED SINGLE BY the THE SUNDOWN PLAYBOYS from 1972, ORIGINAL UK DEMO PRESSING IN NEAR MINT CONDITION VINYL AND A MUST !!!
This one is one of the RAREST APPLE DEMO SINGLES as it never sold and never got any press / radio plays.
This DEMO COPY is made even rarer as it also comes with the ORIGINAL RARE PICTURE SLEEVE and even rarer NEVER SEEN BEFORE 4 PAGES BOOKLET APPLE PRESS RELEASE with photo and information about the band !!!
Demo pressings were the earliest possible pressings as they were given to Radio and Press people way before the commercial release date as is the case with this single which has the earliest 1U/1U matrices !!!
The single came out on APPLE RECORDS catalogue number APPLE 44.
The tracks are: SATURDAY NITE SPECIAL / VALSE DE SOLEIL COUCHER .
The VINYL is in EX++++ (UNPLAYED, would easily be Mint- , but for the smallest scuff from the press release being stored inside the sleeve for 42 years), ORIGINAL PICTURE SLEEVE is in EX++++ condition (LIKE NEW, very minor ring mark on the back), 4 PAGE APPLE RECORDS PRESS BOOKLET is in EX condition (folded as was done originally).
DON'T LET THIS RARE UK BEATLES / APPLE RELATED PROMO / DEMO SINGLE get away !!!
