Extremely hard-to-find The Pharoahs AWAKENING lp. If you collect these things you know this is a SUPER RARE album. Your collection is not complete if you don’t have this album. A truly RARE and unique item to add to your collection, an item that doesn't appear too often (if ever!) on Ebay or anywhere else. You won’t see it on ebay again, and you know it, so bid accordingly. This is the real deal original pressing of an important and highly prized 1971 recording out of Chicago. SIDE A - “Damballa”; “Ibo”; “Tracks Of My Tears”; “Black Enuff”; “Somebody’s Been Sleeping” SIDE B – “Freedom Road”; “Great House” Personnel: Pharaoh – Ealee Satterfield: bass, cow bell, vocals Pharaoh – (Big) Willie Woods: trombones, bassoon, baritone horn, vocal, big black drum Pharaoh – Oye Bisi (Nalls): African drums, cowbell, conga, tambourine Pharaoh – Shango Njoko: African drums, tumba, vocal Pharaoh – Black Herman (Waterford): quinto drum, alto sax Pharaoh – Don “Hippmo” (Myrick): alto, tenor & baritone saxophones, flute, cowbell Pharaoh – Yehudah Ben Israel: guitar, lead vocal Pharaoh – Alious (Watkins): trap drums, tumba Pharaoh – Derf Reklaw Raheem: African drums, tumba, flute, conga, cowbell, vocal Pharaoh – Aaron Ifad Dodd: tuba, tambourine, baritone horn Pharaoh – Ki (CharlesleesunnychuckkiyahuhandyKi: trumpet, peck horn African shawn, flugelhorn, percussions, vocal The vinyl is clean and fairly shiny. There are very few marks (all minor and of no significant sonic consequence). The LP plays quite well without any issues. The labels are in very nice condition and show few signs of wear. The jacket/cover has no ring wear, but there is a small water stain in the lower right hand corner (see photo) and 2 of the corners are worn/bent.
