Description
Ultra-Rare and OOP, original 1988 Rough Trade/Product Records UK 12" 4-song EP, with utterly gorgeous, rich 45rpm sound. 2 versions of their iconic Joy Division cover, one very upbeat "poppy" one with M. Gira taking lead vocals, and a mellower, achingly beautiful rendition by Jarboe. The M Gira one has never been reissued in any form; a damn shame, as its an incredible track, somehow even more melodic and emotional than the Joy Division original. The other 2 tracks are semi-acoustic versions of Trust Me and Our Love Lies, radically different arrangements than found on the "Children of God" LP (and in my opinion, much better versions, especially Our Love Lies, one of the greatest mid-period Swans tracks in the incarnation found here).
This was an extra copy in my private collection for 15+ years, but rarely ever played, and in remarkably great condition for its age. Vinyl and bright red cover in strong VG+/NM- condition, plays very clean, sounds excellent.
