JAN GI indie 45
Here’s a Texas Record that’s getting increasingly hard to find. Sweet Smoke. The group were originally from Minot, North Dakota and started out as the Try Cerz (- tracers - ) but moved south to Texas in the mid ‘60s. Not long after they discovered some sweet smoke down in Ft. Worth, Texas, they cut this single on the Jan Gi Records label.
Tracks here are “Mary Jane Is To Love” and “Morning Dew.” This would pick up enough attention around Texas to get the single picked up by Amy Records for a national release in 1968.
