Description

Very rare Stravinsky – The Fire Bird (Complete ballet) 1st Decca stereo pressing Wide band grooved label with ED1 ‘Original Recording By’ text.  Comes with original Decca Ffss inner sleeve. Does not have blue/white border to back.

L’Orchestre De La Suisse Romande conducted by Ernest Ansermet.

 195? Decca Records (Cat.No.SXL2017) Condition: Cover: Vg+ / Disc: Vg-

The cover has some light creasing to the top right and left on the front and a very small area of wear to the bottom right corner. Overall graded as Vg+

Visually the record has some light surface marks and would be Graded as Vg+. For the opening 3 mins of Side 1 there is an audible click this then settles to only background crackle in the quiet parts. There are a further couple of audible clicks towards the end of Side 1. Side 2 plays well with only background crackle to the quiet parts. Overall graded as Vg-

As with all my records the discs have not been cleaned as i prefer to let the buyer choose their own method of cleaning. As such i am sure sound quality would be enhanced.
