SXL 2029 wbg ED1 *TCHAIKOVSKY - VIOLIN CONCERTO +++++++ DECCA 1st UK LP **CAMPOLI with LSO & ARGENTA +++++++++ Excellent and highly sought after recordings featuring CAMPOLI with the London Symphony Orchestra conducted by ATAULFO ARGENTA. Decca wide band grooved label 1st UK release. "Original Recording By", Blue Border sleeve.

The sleeve is in VG+ condition - small rubs, chips, minor corner wear and some laminate lift but there are no seam or pine splits. The vinyl is in VG to VG+ condition - there are several small marks and light non-sounding scratches, there is also a couple of squiggle marks that do create some tics in the middle of the first side. Playback: the record plays well with no skips or jumps, there is some minor surface noise and the odd light crackle and scattered tics. I noticed to or three occassions when there was a couple of tics consecutively. The only major defect is the squiggle marks which create tics for about 2 to 3 minutes in the middle of the first side which unfortunately also correspond to a cadenza which makes them more noticeable. So, do not buy this lp if you want a near mint copy but otherwise it is decent listen of what is a very rare lp with stunning playing.
