Excellent condition copy of this rare 1958 release on Decca Records (SXL 2037) with its original Wide Band & grooved label design with "Original Recording By..." rim text - ED1. Ernest Ansermet conducts L'Orchestre de la Suisse Romande in performances of Bizet's Suites "Carmen" and "L'Arlesienne"
Condition is excellent. The sleeve (which is not the original "blue back" design) is in very good condition - clean with no major creases and no tears or seam splits. The rear sleeve is a little discoloured and overall the sleeve is not perfectly crisp and shows signs of having been handled.
The vinyl is in excellent condition. The surfaces are nicely clean and glossy with no major scratches, scuffs or abrasions. Playback is basically quiet with no big pops, ticks or clicks but both sides have a few crackles at the start of the side (presumably where bad handling has left greasy marks which have trapped dust particles) and the side ends are both prone to a trace of break-up. This is not too bad, though, and there are no skips or jumps.
