SCHUBERT 'PIANO QUINTET IN A MAJOR "THE TROUT"' 1958 STEREO LP.

Pressed in England and released on Decca SXL 2110.

First press wide band, grooved label ED1.

When tilted under normal lighting side 1 appears to be unmarked. Side 2 has a couple of light surface scratches about 1cm. long in band 3 at about 9 o'clock.

Under halogen lights both sides have just a few more faint marks visible. 

Play grades as EX-.

Most of this play grades as EX with all musical passages playing clearly & brightly with no sticks, skips or jumps and no evidence of groove wear.  However there is a little very brief, quiet background crackle in places on both sides and near the end of side 2 there are x2 light 'clicks'. 

Front laminated sleeve grades as EX-.

Would be EX but has a small cloed tear on the front of the opening and a small piece of surface dmage in the top right, rear corner [see photos].

Original poly-lined FFSS Blue/white inner grades as EX.

I dispatch records in brand new, bought in mailers designed for the process. Before placing in the mailer I take LPs out of the sleeve place both in a polysleeve and between two card stiffeners and if there is a picture sleeve I place the LP in a plain sleeve to prevent knifing of the picture sleeve. [all this costs £0.80/single LP].

I USE RECORD COLLECTOR GRADINGS AND USE A +/- WHERE I FEEL THAT IT'S APPROPRIATE.

(M) MINT: The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records advertised as sealed or unplayed should be mint.

(EX) EXCELLENT: The record shows some signs of being played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging may have slight wear and/or creasing.

(VG) VERY GOOD: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.

(G) GOOD: The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discolouration, etc.

(F) FAIR: The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump. The cover and contents will be torn, stained and/or defaced.

(P) POOR: The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.

(B) BAD: The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection-filler.  

I normally ship within 1/2 working days of receipt of payment.
