SYSTEM - ON THE OTHER SIDE OF TIME LP '77 UK TASH EX/EX SUPER RARE Heavy Prog, only 250 pressed, never reissued Up for sale here:
System - On the Other Side of Time LP. Private pressing on the UK Tash label, and hailing from Norwich, this has to be one of the best, and rarest, Heavy Progressive Rock albums ever recorded. Only 250 copies of this LP were ever pressed, and very little is known about this band. Presumably most were sold at gigs and, like this copy, come fully signed by all four band members. This recording has never been reissued and surviving copies almost never turn up for sale. This copy has had one previous owner from new, and was carefully stored for over thirty years in a smoke free home. So what do you get? 10 tracks, including 8 original compositions, plus 2 great covers; 'She's not There' by the Zombies and Neil Young's 'Ohio'. Both these tracks are fantastic takes on already classic rock tracks, and the original recordings stand up equally well. Sounds like it was recorded at the beginning of the decade rather than towards the end. You'll particularly enjoy side one's fourth track, 'Zuwbe'; if, like me, you can reverse direction on your record deck and hear what they've hidden! Comes in its original Garrod and Lofthouse sleeve, track listing and band information on the back, including a Norwich telephone number to contact the band.
Please check my other listings for more hard to find LP's and singles, including these gems: Peter Touch(Tosh) on UK Coxsone, Beverley Simmons LP on UK Pama, Black Sabbath on Vertigo, rare USA only Police Picture Discs, System (super rare Heavy Prog) with more coming soon.

Condition: The disc grades as EXCELLENT, a few light marks on either side, nothing that affects playback, overall the vinyl still has a great sheen. Playback is excellent, very occasional noise in the quieter passages, no sticks or jumps. Labels are very clean, with NO writing, stickers or other marks. A few very light spindle marks visible under strong light. Disc is housed in original plain white inner sleeve, also EXCELLENT, minor storage creases but no writing, rips or tears. The Garrod and Lofthouse outer sleeve is EXCELLENT also, a few light creases and scuffs around the edges but still flat and firm, spine is solid and readable. The front the cover is fully signed by all four band members around the white clock face design. Also one obvious mark, left of the clock face, near the VIII, but no other writing, marks, stickers, rips or tears.
