Description

A genuine very 1st press of the DEBUT. Matrix A1/B1...which was used for quite a while, so nothing particularly interesting in that. But these early 1st copies were pressed marginally heavier than later copies [not heavy, a bit heavier]. But the real test for a genuine early copy is the LAMINATED front cover. These are hard to find and must have been discontinued quite early on. It looks nice and has preserved the front image well, and gives the cover that bit more sturdiness. Original CBS advertising from around that time included.
Vinyl (Ex/Ex+) A sweet looking copy which has seen only relatively light use. A couple of light marks in a couple of spots per side...nothing remotely close to being troublesome. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals a mostly EXCELLENT+ level of playback. Really really sweet audio...just clear analogue playback. This does a great job on Santana's percussive rhythmic output. Very little to find fault with, perhaps just a touch of lightest static in the quiet moments of 'TREAT' - but still a great rendition. A true 1st press and some great audio to boot..
Cover (Vg+) The lamination has done a great job on the front. It's very well preserved with just some ageing apparent. The rear looks good too with just light handling as is very difficult to avoid. The spine looks great with all text full legible. The openings are still sharp and unworn.  Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity and remains a very fine example.
Inner (Vg+) Bit aged, but no splits.
